Friday, May 10. (Before H. H. Fenton, Esq., J.P., and His Worship the Mayor.) CHIMNEY ON FIRE. W. Kenny was fined 10s and costs for the above oi_euce. CATTLE TRESPASS. 11. Wagstaff was mulcted in the sum of 5s and costs for allowing a horse to wander at large. Civil Case. Arming v. Trigg.—This case had been adjourned from last Court day, for the purpose of obtaining information as to the value of the dog in question. No tangible evidence being brought forward, the Bench gave judgment for the plaintiff, leaving it optional for the defendant, either to return the slut, or to pay the sum of £5, costs to follow the judgment. At the conclusion of this case the Resident Magistrate took his seat on the Bench. Eaton v. Kenny.—Claim for £6 18s. Judgment for plaintiff for 18s, costs to be divided. R. Bayley v. C. Duduoit.—Claim £8. Adjourned' for the production of plaintiff's books. . The Court then adjourned.
