CORN EXCHANGE REPORT.

The following is the report for the week ending Friday evening, April 19 :— Grass Seed.—Cocksfoot is free of sale at per lb, with a limited supply. Potatoes. — Not many potatoes have been offering during the week. A fair business is open at current rates, i.e., 45e per ton. There are several export orders in the market still unexecuted. Butter. —The price is nominal.

Messrs R. Wilkin and Co. report:— Sheetskins.--Our catalogue on Thursday comprised 2672 skins, all of which were sold at fair prices. There was an average attendance of buyers, but bidding was not so brisk as at last sale. Prices are as follows :—Cross-bred large well-woolled, 4s to 4s 3d each ; do, medium well-woolled, 3s 2d to 4s each ; do, small and inferior, 2s lOd to 3s 2d each, merino, large fullwoolled 4s 9d to 5s 4d each ; do medium and half woolled 4s to 4s 9djeach, do small and inferior 3s Id to 4s each ; pelts, large, early shorn 3s 4d to 4s Id each ; do, late shorn 3s Id to 3s 4d each ; lambskins from 2s Gd, 3s, 3s 4d, to 3s |7d.—Talloav : A large quantity of butcher's rough fat to hand, one line of which was not sold. There was a full attendance of buyers but the bidding was slack—Best clean, well saved. 2fd to 2-Jd per ib ; inferior and heated 2d to 2fd per lb ; tallow 3d per lb. —Hides : A large number to band, none of which were sold, although there was a full attendance of buyers.
