FROM THE LYTTELTON TIMES. Christchurch, Friday Evening. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. At Addington, on Wednesday, G376 sheep, 359 cattle, G4 pigs, were yarded for the week. Fat Shee_\—At tbe opening sales prices offered denoted a considerable decline, and a few lines were passed in, and sales were with difficulty effected at reduced prices. The operations of boilers somewhat relieved the market, and manygood sheep fit for trade purposes were taken out for turnips. Mutton for boiling made from Id to and for butchers' and first quality, from l_d tolfd. Beef. —A large supply, cbielly of very medium quality. First quality made 2Gs ; medium, from 21s to 22s Gd. Store Cattle. —Still with a downward tendency, and with the prospect of continued short feed ; not likely to improve.
Flour.—Millers report a good business at £11 to £12, according to brand.. Grass Seed.—Tbe demand has still further abated, and prices have again receded, Gs now represents the value of the best dressed. Farmers' good is not worth more than 5s 6d ; inferior, 4s to ss.
•Dairy Produce o£ all kinds is un altered.
