INTERPROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.
Wellington, Jan. 21. It is stated that the Government do not intend to summon Parliament before July, and that the principal measures to be brought forward will be Bills dealing with the distribution of representation on the basis of the new census, the adjustment of incidence of taxation, and a Bill dealing with Native lands. The police have arrested John Prestige, who occupied the hotel which was recently burned down, and which led to the destruction of the railway station. They have been procuring evidence which has aroused suspicions as to the origin of the fire.
