AKAROA ACADEMY.

The annual examination of this Academy was concluded on Wednesday, the 12th inst. The distribution of certificates will take place this day at 9.30 a.m. The following is the class list:— VI.— Upper. The proficiency and aptness of the pupils throughout the examination reflected great credit on Mr Harlock and his assistant, whilst the general torie of the school was worthy of every commendation. We have had the pleasure of inspecting the prizes, and consider them judiciously selected, and handsome enough to tempt any lad into endeavouring to win knowledge when such tempting rewards are held out as the result of his success.
