AKAROA ACADEMY.
The annual examination of this Academy was concluded on Wednesday, the 12th inst. The distribution of certificates will take place this day at 9.30 a.m. The following is the class list:— VI.— Upper. Stratton 11. Armstrong 111. Watkins 11. Morey. Worsley. IV. . Glynan 11. ) Malmanche, abs.in Keegan f. j e< *' exam. Houghton 11. Donovan, abs. in Keegan 11. eiain. Wilkin I. 111. Oborn I. Wilkin 11. Armstrong IV. V Oborn 11. Kelleher Worsley 11. The proficiency and aptness of the pupils throughout the examination reflected great credit on Mr Harlock and his assistant, whilst the general torie of the school was worthy of every commendation. We have had the pleasure of inspecting the prizes, and consider them judiciously selected, and handsome enough to tempt any lad into endeavouring to win knowledge when such tempting rewards are held out as the result of his success.
