PIGEON BAY ROAD BOARD.
Monday, Nov. 19. A special meeting of the above was held on Monday, 19th inst. Present—Messrs Hay, Budua, M'Kay,. and.Fjfiithly. ■' ' ./••■; Mr '■• 'CrUlespie being absent through illness, Mr Hay .was voted to the chair. Minutes of .the previous meeting were read and confirmed. • TENDERS. .. Tenders were received for forming Cross' road — From Gunning and Co., £160 ; Smith and Barclay, £75 ; James M'Learn, £40. Mr Budua moved, and Mr Pitcaithiy seconded, that Mr M , Learns tendei be accepted; carried. Messrs Hay, Budua, and Pitcaithiy reported that they had examined the disputed piece of road to M'lntosh and other Bays, and were decidedly in favour of the line laid off by Mr Welch,' the line by Mr Lewis being considered a mistake. The chairman was instructed to ask the Waste Lands Board to have the road laid off by Mr Welch placed on the map of the Chief Surveyor. The meeting then adjourned till Friday, 23rd inst.
