THE P.S. TONGARIRO.

TO the' editor of the akaroa mail. Sir.—l see 'the above steamer is advertised to run round from Lyttelton to Akaroa occasionally. Would you allow me through your columns to ask Captain Clark if, when he comes round, that he would give the opportunity of the Bays' people to patronize this steamer ; and as the Le Bon's people have no steam communication with Lyttleton, and is now one of the largest populated Bays on the Peninsula, if the steamer would call in about once a on her trip to Akaroa, I feel sure that a number of the residents in Le Bon's and Laverick's Bays would take advantage of the privilege in visiting Port and Christchurch that they are now deprived of. I only hope that someone of greater ability than myself will take the matter up, and not let the subject drop until we have the *ame privileges as enjoyed by our more favoured neighbours.—Yours, &c, RESIDENT. Le Bon's Bay.
