The Agent-General telegraphs :. : — Gouka hnstiiken and fortified a strong Turkish position near Plevi.a, capturing Achme Topai Pasha, together withithe Chief-of-Staff, many Turkish officers, three thousand soldiers, a whole regiment of cavalry, four guns, and other material. Russian loss great.
Prince Sergius Maximilian was killed in a,reconnaisance under the command of the Czarwiteh.
The bombardment of Plevna is still proceeding, A#airs at Shipka Pass are unchanged.
A large Russian force which arrived at Kohorazan compelled Mukhtar Pasha to change his head-quarters from Sevien to Kopucoi. At Erzeroum the inhabitants were all called to arms in consequence of the Russian advance.
Kars is being bombarded, and part of the town is in flames.
