Bombay, , August 27. A Russian official despatch reports continuous fighting at Shipka until twelve on the morning of tlis 25th. A despatch from Sialieman Pasha, on 23rd, states that the Russians' sorties were repulsed and a general assault was made on the following day. The Russians arc completely surrounded, and the Turks command line of retreat to Kabrova. ' A Stamboul despatch of the 26th states that Sulieman has captured the pass, and attacked Kabrova. London, August 28. General Drtroschuiski was killed at the Shipka Pass. The Turks gained a brilliant victory on the height- of Keyzeith, after severe fighting. The Russian loss is 4000, including General Tchonoschrassoff. The Turkish loss was 1200. All the Powers concurred In Germany's representations as to the Porte's treatment of Russian prisoners'and wounded. Colone, Wellesley's report denies the Russian cruelties. Bombay, August 27, 8 p.m. The capture of the Shipka Pass is unconfirmed. M Gambetta is to be prosecuted for a speech hostile to Government.
