r FROM OUR CHRISTCHURCH CORRESPNDENT.] Singapore, June 26. Tultcha has been evacuated by the Turks, who retreated in good order to Pirsord. The British Ministry, relying on the assurances of Russia, do not contemplate protecting the Suez Canal. Severe fighting took place at Delhi Baba. The Russians fell back on Zeadakin. An amendment has been, moved in the French Senate, postponing dissolution for three months. June 27. It is reported that Sir William Jervois will replace Governor Cairns, of South Australia. Greymouth, June 28. On Monday evening, Michael Kinsella, miner, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Mclnnerney, of Nelson Creek, and her two children, and a young woman named Bridget Fitzsimmons, who was engaged to Kinsella, left' the foot of Nelson Creek in a canoe to cross the river to Blackball Creek. Not.having reached their destination, a search party was formed, who yesterday found the canoe bottom up, with a woman's skirt on it. It is supposed that the girl Fitzsimmons, who could swim, had clung to the canoe, and afterwards attempted to reach the bank, but had failed. The body of Mrs. Mclnnerney was found this morning. Other bodies are being searched for. It is certain the whole party are drowned. Auckland, June 28. Sir George Grey has completely recovered.
