Prime butchers' cross-breda realised 14s 9d per head ; good do, from, 13s 9d to Hs 3d ; second do, 12s. Owing to the dullness of the bidding- in the early part of the day, several lines of good quality cross-breds were passed in, but towards the close of the sale the competition was more animated, and prices ranged quite equal to last week's rates.
The cattle penned consisted.principally of three parts fat steers and heifers. One or two good quality lots changed hands , at 27s 6(1 per 100 lbs three-year-old steers and heifers (mixed) realised from £8 to £8 5s per head ; two-year-old do, from £5 io £7 10s.
