PURSUANT to the Provisions of the Education Ordinance, 1875, a PUBLIC MEETING of Householders in every Educational District within the Education District of Canterbury, will be held on MONDAY, the Ninth day of April, 1877, at seven o'clock in the evening, to Receive the Report of the Proceedings of the Committee and to Elect Persons to serve as Members of the School Committee. The place of meeting will be the Schoolhouse in each district. In any district which has more than one school, the main school will be the place of meeting. In any district, if a Poll be demanded, it will be taken on MONDAY, the Sixteenth day of April, between the hours of Nine in the forenoon and Four in the afternoon.
