PUBLIC NOTICE. IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of the Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876, and the Ellesmere and Forsyth Reclamation and Akaroa Railway Trust Act, 1876,1, CYPRIAN W. BRIDGE, Returning Officer for the district of Springs, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a proclamation in a Gazette, bearing date the thirteenth day of January, 1877, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held tor the return of TWO QUALIFIED PERSONS to serve as members for the above-mentioned Trust, and that the NOMINATION of CANDIDATES Avill take place at the Springston Road Board Office, Springs, on TUESDAY, the 30th day of January, 1877, and the POLL, if necessary, will be taken on FRIDAY, the ninth day of February, 1877.
