Beef, 25s to 28s per lOOlbs ; fat wethers, 3|b ; lambs, 8s to 12s 6d each. • Wellington, January 5. Flour is receding : Adelaide, £16 10s to £16 15s. At auction yesterday a quantity was withdrawn at£l4los. Oats, Tartarian 2s 7d to 2s lOd; milling, 3s; bran, lOd to Is; pollard, 8s ; bacon and hams, ,8s to 9s ; cheese, 9d ;' potatoes, £4 ; maize, 4s 3d. Dunedin, January 5.
The grain market has been exceedingly quiet during the holidays ; wheat is out of the market, quotations nominal ; oats meet with a moderate demand at 2s 2d to 2s 3d for good to fine feed, up to 2s 4d for milling; barley, for feeding and milling purposes, is in improved request at 2s 9d to 3s 3d, malting nominally ; 4s, but almost unsaleable.
