Accession of CAPiTAL.-~We are gratified in having it in our power to announce for the information of our supporters in the interior, that a considerable accession to the capital of the country has taken place by the arrivals in the Imaun of Muscat and Midlothian ;—not alone in valuable merchandize, the property of parties on board intending to settle permanently amongst us, but also in English bids and in letters of credit upon the Ausfralasiaand Union, Considering the very low rate 'of intere&t now prevailing in Great Britain—the extreme difficulty of obtaining even 2 percent per annum from the Bankers of London, we feel confident that we shall witness during the course of the coming year such an importation of capital as must necessarily compel a reduction, and a very important reduction in the rate of interest, to the great relief of all classes of the community.— Port PhiiUp Herald,
