Ophir defeated Clyde on Saturday last by three runs. When the last man (Olem Daniels) went in, Ophir wanted three runs to win. Olem hit the first ball over the fence for five, and was stumped the next. The Alexandra and Clyde teams meet on the local ground on Saturday next. The following players will represent Alexandra :—W, Burnside, D. Smith, Churchill (2), King (2), F, Egginton, H. Williams, J. Morgan, J. Webb, E. Parsons ; reserves—LithgOW (2), Denniaon, Peterson. A Dunedin team visits the goldfields at Xmas, and will play a series of matches with the different clubs. A county match will also be played. The Opoho (Dunedin) will, in all probability, pay a visit to Alexandra, and play a match with the local olub on January 2nd. "
