The first match of the season between the Lowburn and Alexandra teams was played on the local ground on Saturday last, and resulted in a win for the local team by 59 runs on the first innings, Alexandra, going in first, made 112; H. The ladies of Alexandra very kindly dispensed afternoon tea. Clyde and Chatto Creek played the return match at Clyde on Saturday last, when Clyde proved victorious by 36 runs. Clyde made 92; Watts (29), Fitchett (12), and Delahunty (10) being the hiijhest scorers, Chatto Creek responded with 56; M'Grail (22) and Morton (11) reaching double figures.
