Valedictory.
On Friday evening last a number of «hj« members and friends of Court Pride bid farewell to Bro. Q H. SymoriaK. of the Court, who is leavJg shortly for Burrnab. The gather, in! took the form of a smoke concert, and the chair was occupied by Bro. J. O Smith, P. 0.8. During the evening, Bro. Smith, on behalf of the Court, presented Bro. Symons with P.C.Ks lash and collar and framed c-rtificate, and later on Bro. Young, P.C.R., prerented to the departing brother a handaome sovereign case, the gift of the brethren. Bro Symons suitably replied, thank | *• mz the brethren for their presentations. Songs and recitations filled in the gaps A during the evening, and several toasts were duly honored, the gathering being brought to a close shortly before midnight by the singing of « Auld Lang Syne." The tables were admirably decorated for the occasion, and Host Bellamy excelled himself in providing the spread.. Mr F. Smith ably pre ided at the piano.
