The Teviot Canning Factory, (which company was formed in the Roxburgh district recently) have purchased buildings, and a , start has been made with the alterations thereto. We have no doubt but that it will prove a boon to the district. Ma H Nelson, of Nelson, Moate and Co Limited, returned to Wellington oa Wednesday from London and Ceylon. During his stay in Ceylon he opened a branch office i there for the purpose of buying and shippingteas. Mr Nelson spent some time in the? tea-growing districts. It gives us pleasure to draw oar readier*' attention to an advertisement appearinxf in this issue from Mr Divers who is representing three well-known firms in Donedin, and who will be leaving Alexandra on Friday , morning. We feel assured the above gentleman is showing samples of Boots, Drapery and Clothing at prices which are considered rock bottom in Dunedin.
