Horse Parade.
The annual horse parade, under the auspicas of the Central Otago A. and P. Association, was held at Ophir on Thursday last.« Notwithstanding the unfortunate state of the weather, there was a good attendance of the public. The following horses paraded : Mr John Wilson's Marksman, sire, Grown Prince, dam, Flora. Marksman is 5 years old aud travels the Hills Creek, Laudor and Poolburn districts. Mr Peter Anderson's British Lion, —a dapple brown horse rising five years old and standing 16| hands. He is by British Lion, and his dam is Kate by the imported Prince Victor. Mr J. M'Naughton's Dunnett's Fancy, sire, Lord Salisbury. He is a rich bay, standing 16| hands high. Mr B. Naylor's Pride of Elderslie, sire, Hard Times, dam, Salisbury Belle. He is to stand at his owner's farm and travel the Lauder district. Mr Martin's thoroughbred Legerity was present, but owing to the bad state of the weather did not parade.
