The following business of local, interst was transacted at last week's meeting of the Waste Lands Board:— Francis Lee applied for an area of about 15 acres adjoining Flannery's freehold, on the old Dunstan road. Tiger Hill district.—Referred to the ranger for report. Thomas Henry Duck applied for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act. 1894," over an area of 40 acres in block vii, Lauder district.—Lease granted at a rental of 9d per acre, A further report was received from Ranger Mackenzie upon sections 7, block v, and sections 5, block vi, Lower Wanaka district. —Sections 5, 6, and 7 to be grouped and re-offered at reduced capital of 10s per acre. The pastoral license of Christina M'Lennan, Hawea Flat, was forfeited, on account of rent due on Ist September last not having been paid.
