Dunstan District Hospital.

A meeting of the trustees of the above institution was hejd at Clyde on the Sth iust, when there presentMessrs C 0 Sutton (chairman), H Edser, T Barry, B Naylor (jun), G Outhbertson, J Wilson, and E M'Manus.

The report of the Water Supply Committee was to the effect that contracts had been let for procuring and laying pipes from the mains to the Hospital, and that the work was proprogressing satisfactorily. The Visiting Committee reported satisfactorily on the management of the hospital during the previous month.

The report of the surgeon fDr Hyde), which was read, and received, showed that the number of patients in the hospital on July Ist was 2; number admitted during month, 2; number discharged, 3 ; number died, 1(M Galvin): number remaining on July 3jst, 3. The patients admitted came from the following' districts : Clyde, 1; Cldye-Oromwal} road, \* gate, 1. The' complaints were:— Poisoned hand, 1; cancer, 1; asthma, 1 } amputation of finger, 1.

The treasurer's report, showing a credit balance at date of £l9 16s 2d, was read and received.

Accounts for salaries and supplies, amounting to £67 2s 7d, were passed for payment. A sub-committee was appointed to procure a new range for the surgeon's residence.
