The home team had the beat of the game throughout, and although Opinion several occasions rushed the bail to ' Alexandra's quarters, the latter'« line was never seriously in danger, The home backs showed splendid com* bination, and their passing rushes were a treat to witness. The forwards also played well and none can, scarcely be picked out for special men* tion. ££*> The Ophir team played a plucky up* hill game, and it is indisputable that, with more practice, they cm make themselves a power to be reckoned with. The team comprises several players who would do credit to any club, and next jear we expect to see the team successfully arguiug the point with the older-established clubs on the goldfieids. Mr E Marslin officiated as refereei and it is needless to say that his decisions gave universal satisfaction. The Clyde and Cromwell teams meet I at Clyde on Saturday. j
