Entertainment.
On Saturday evening last, the HallValentine Company 'gave an enjoyable entertainment in the Town Hall. The principal part of the programme wag i taken up withf olograph pictures, which were of a very high excellence. 'Some of the recent-films illustrating the vessels which are at present engaged in 4 the Rußso«Jap War were shown and enabled tbe ' audience to obtain'some idea of the strength of the great warships; ,_ ..... ..■:•..,•■. : The pictures were many and various and were, with the exception of perhaps one or two, to the audience. - - .' Mr Dudley Treat, .who possesses a nice baritone voice and makes good use of it, sang several familiar songs in excellent style. Mr Bob Hall, familiar to the people ■ of Alexandra, sang several comic songs! in a manner that won econiuma from the audience. The pictures were enlivened by appropriate music being played on the piano. Altogether the Company's entertainment is well worthy of patronage, and we trust a bumper house will greet them on their return visit next Saturday-
