Dunstan District Hospital

The regular monthly meeting of the trustees helJ at Clyde, on Tuesday, 7th inst, was attended by Messrs Hutton (chairman), Edser, Barry, and Wilson. The minutes of previous meeting , were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read as follows : From Auditor-General, accompanied with audited balance sheet for year ended March 31st, was laid on the table. From the resident surgeon, re the obtaining of services of a special nurse for typhoid fever patient (C M Hope) from Mt Pisa Station, Mr John Roberts, of Dunedin, guaranteeing payment of all expenses and charges— Received, The visiting committee reported everything in and about the institution satifactory. The resident surgeon reported : number of patients in hospital Ist May, 5 ; since admitted, 2; discharged, 2;; remaining Ist June, 5. The patients were admitted from Bald Hill Hit and Mt Pisa. The treasurer reported :—Assets to date,; £52/16/6, Liabilites, May accounts (passed for payment)- £ 74/6/8 * Several maintenance accounts were dealt with. Mr G L Cuthbertson was elected a member of the board of trustees, vice Mr J Smart, whose office was vacant from lapse of attendance. Tne meeting then closed.
