Football.
The Alexandra Juniors defeated the Clyde Juniors at Clyde last Saturday by 3 points to nil. W Brown scored for the winners. A good deal of interest is being taken in the match between the Cromwell and Alexandra teams, which is to be played on the Alexandra ground on Saturday next, and a first-class exhibition of football may be anticipated. The following teams have been chosen to do battle for the respective sides :—Alexandra.—Full back, W Edgecombe; three-quarters, H.Kitto, Maitland, Campbell; five-eighths, - D Cameron, W King (capt) ; half, J Richardson ; forwards, T Richardson, Riley, Webb, Gilhoolv, Bruce, Whee'er, Paul, Parsons. Cromwell :—Backs—W. Willson, J. Oampbel', D. Jolly, 0, M'George, JHolden, D Cahill (capt.), R. Varcoe. Forwards—H. Partridge, H. Orr, W. Campbell, F. Burke, F. Barnes, J. Wrightson, G. Wrightson, C. Thomsa Emergencies—D, Kane, J Tizard.
