Land Board.
The following business of local interest was transacted at last week'n meeting of the Waste Lands Board :
A letter was received from E Saiasbury in regard to his application for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1804." over 50 acres in Leaning Rook district.—Mr Sainsbury having advised the board that he had drawn a section on Edendale Estate, the application for occupation lease provisionally granted on April IS last was now rescinded.
J M'Knight applied to purchase or lease section 21, block 11, Tiger Hill district.—Section referred to being required for a school site application declined, -*\ Duggan and Wallingtan wrote 'objecting to the'jjropbsal by Laidlaw and. OraWford to exchange sections 1, 6, and 11, block 111, Lauder district, for an equal area on the run at Black Bush,—Held over for ranger's report.
