The following business of local interest was transacted at last week'smeetiDg of the Land Board : A letter from the Vincent County Council with reference to the applies* tion by Pipaon and Oars well for a road along the Wilkin River was received. —The Oounty Council to inform the board if the " thirds " receivable cannot be expended in the interests of petitioners. Mrs Sarah Kerr applied for a license to occupy the remaining portion of the mining, reserve, section 51, Block I, Bock and Pillar district.— Referred to ranger for report. Application to purchase land held under deferred payment license: D.P. 4075, section 2, Block 111, Fras*r district, Andrew 0 Iversen.—Approved. The question of cloaing road to be referred to Oounty Council. Applications to transfer leases or licenses:—-S gr 347, Run 26 Ih, Poolbarn district, Elizabeth Black to James Black, junr., (Herdman and Kirk, solicitors); lip 603, section 116, Block 11. Oam aru district (Ardgowan Estate), Mary Carrie to Mary Fodie.—Approved. After consideration the application by F T Williams for an occupation lease over 30 acres at Brass Knocker Greek, Moutere Ran, was declined.
