TheJfollowing business of local interest was transacted at ; last weekfe? meeting of the Land Board:— - Ranger O'Neill reported on the petition by a number of carriers to have a camping reserve made on Bmall grazing run No 244f, at present held by W F M'lntosh—As the Otago Central Railway will probably be open within six months from this time, and as the carriers will then no longer require to camp in Ida Valley, the board declined to take steps to reserve the land asked for. Application by Jeremiah M'EUigott to transfer his occupation lease over section 20, block vi, Lauder district, to E Moran was approved. Ranger O'Neill forwarded a report on the application by Annie Wall for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1894," over 50 acres in block vii, Lauder district, part Run No 223 a- ,- declined for reasons given in Mr Percy's case. Ranger O'Neill's report on the mining reserve, section 1, block x, Leaning Rock district, and on the applications made for licenses to occupy, the same was adopted.—Grazing licenses to issue accordingly—Mrs Muir over 25 acres, rent 20s per annum; John Hawley over 10 acres, rent, 6s per annum; S3 Spain over 156 acres, rent 20s per annum. r Gilkison and Hutton forwarded an application on behalf of Miss O Felton for a license to occupy about 50 acres, Prospect Flat, Leaning Rock district. —Application .granted; rent 9d per acre.
