r*Kr Jas.Benr.et, member for the j djgribt, arrived jn Alexandra yesterjif' .day, his chief business being to make %t investigations regarding the applica- . lions that have recently been made for cutting np portions of Galloway and »~* lioatere runs for settlement. Mr Bonnet intends to inspect the land in question to-morrow (Friday), * and s.ll those interested are requested to be present. To-day Mr Beunet wuT visit Clyde, returning to Alexandra either tonight or to-morrow morning.
