Alexandra School.
The ordinary meeting of the committee of the above school was held on Friday evening last, when there were present—Messrs Kelman (chairman), Campbell, Schaumann, and Anderson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The headmaster's report directed attention to several matters in connection with the school buildings that required attention. Messrs Schaumann and Campbell were appointed a works committee to attend to the matters referred to in the headmaster's report. On the motion of Mr Anderson, Seconded by Mr Schaumann, a vote of thanks was accorded to all those who assisted in making the recent concert such a success. * The following accounts were passed for payment:—W Theyers and Son, £3 8s 9d; Alexandra Herald, ■£% 14s 3d ; 0 Begg and Co., 7s lOd; W Bowler, £3 ; Mrs Holden, £3 ; total £l3 10s lOd. - A vote of thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
