The following business of local importance was transacted at last week's meeting of the Waste Lands Boardj— It was resolved that A Hiscook show cause why his holdings over sections 61 and 64, block x, Leaning Bock district, Earnscleugh Settlement, should not be forfeited for non-com-pliance with residence conditions. In connection with small grazing r un, Leaning Bock district, to be opened on the 18th inst, it was decided to allow the present holder of temporary pastoral license to remove any fencing belonging to him within 30 days of date of application, John Mellor applied for an occupation lease under "The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act 1894," over 50 acres on Bun No 223, Lauder district.—Warden reported. Beferred to ranger for report. Thomas Morgan applied for an occupation lease under The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1994," over 40 acres on part of section 81, block i, St Bathans district.—Warden reported. Beferred to ranger for report. Bees Hughes applied for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1894," ■ over 16 acres on Bun No 2360, block i, St Bathans district. The warden forwarded a report.—Beferred to | ranger for report.
