Alexandra School.
A special meeting of the Alexandra School Committee was held on Friday evening last, to consider applications for the .position of second assistant teacher at the school. There were present—Messrs Laidlaw, Campbell, Anderson,'M'Knight, and Buchanan. Mr Buchanan was voted to the chair.
After considering the testimonials, it was finally resolved, that the Board be recommended to appoint Miss Townshend to the position.
