Licensing Committee Elections.
THE TUAPEKA ELECTION,
Locally, very little interest was taken in the election, he d yesterday, for a licensing committee for the Tuapeka district. At the Alexandra booth, 157 electors recorded their votes, and tho ballot resulted as follows:—L Ryan, 90; J Rivers, 72; H Craig, 66 ; G Jeffery, 63; G Fache, 57; J Elder, 56; D M'lntosh, 33 ; J Michael, 14. At 10 o'clock last night, our correspondent at Lawrence wired ■ ths • following results; "Craig, 657 J Jeffery, 657; M'lntosh, 494; Elder 475 ; Rivers, 404; Fache, 403; Michael, 351; Ryan, 336. Three returns to come." THE MT. IDA ELECTION,
Last evening our corresdondent aft Naseby wired the following particulars concerning the election in the Mt, Ida electorate:—" Results from 24 booths j —Mitchell 552, Inder 551, Kinney 453, Sutherland 407, Bradshaw 388. M'Knight 304, Stewart 274."
The final results will be published from this office as an " extra " as soon as they come to hand.
