Forestry.
On Friday evening last the members of Court Star of the Dunstan journeyed to Alexandra to pay an official visit to the local Court of Foresters. The visitors, numbering about 18, were received in the lodge room officially, and, after, the ordinary business had been disposed of, an adjournment was made to the town hall, where a very pleasant evening was spent. Songs and speeches were the order of the evening, and everything went with the swing that characterises the fraternal gatherings. Bro. Jos. Smith, C.R. of Court Pride of Alexandra, occupied the chair, and was ably seconded by J. M'Laren, P.C.R., of the Court. Bro. Smart, of Court Star of the Dunstan, in responding to the toast of "The Visitors," thanked the Alexandra brethren very heartily for the reception they had received and referred in feeling terms to the goodfellowship that existed between the two Courts. . - brethren of both Courts contributed songs during the evening. The gathering was brought to a close by the singing of "AuldLang Syne," shortly before midnight.
