- POLICE COURT, ALEXANDRA. t Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1903. (Before Messrs J. Rivers and J. D. Buchanan, J.'sP.) Alfred George Laugh ton was charged by the police with that he did on the 12th day of May, 1902, at Dunedin, steal one gold ring, valued at £1 15s, the property of Annie Pilet. Accused pleaded « Not Guilty." : ■ Sergt. Rogers stated that the missing ring bad been discovered in a pawnbroker's shop, and as all the witnesses resided in Dnnedin, he asked that accused be remanded to appear there. Accused was remanded to appear at the Dunedin Police Court on Friday, 30th January.

WARDEN'S COURT, CLYDE. The following is the list of business set down for hearing at Clyde on Saturday, 7th inst:— Andrew Wilson, water race, one head from Springvale Creek. J. Gilkition, protection, 6 months to special dredging claim 295 c. J. Bourke, same,. 6 months to special dredging claim, 264 c.
