- POLICE COURT, ALEXANDRA. t Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1903. (Before Messrs J. Rivers and J. D. Buchanan, J.'sP.) Alfred George Laugh ton was charged by the police with that he did on the 12th day of May, 1902, at Dunedin, steal one gold ring, valued at £1 15s, the property of Annie Pilet. Accused pleaded « Not Guilty." : ■ Sergt. Rogers stated that the missing ring bad been discovered in a pawnbroker's shop, and as all the witnesses resided in Dnnedin, he asked that accused be remanded to appear there. Accused was remanded to appear at the Dunedin Police Court on Friday, 30th January.
WARDEN'S COURT, CLYDE. The following is the list of business set down for hearing at Clyde on Saturday, 7th inst:— Andrew Wilson, water race, one head from Springvale Creek. J. M* Arthur, special dredging claim, 41 acres 3 roods 16 poles, section 94, block 1, and 143, block 2, Leaning Rock. Monte Christo, same, 90 acres, Molyneux River, 3 miles above Clyde. Chow Kee and others, extended alluvial claim, 3 acres, Blackman's Gully. Jno. Lynn, water race, 2 heads from Leaning Rock Creek. George Field, tail race, Blackman's Flat. Same, extended alluvial claim, 2 acres, at Read Gully, Blackman's. F. M'Carthv, tail race, Blackman's Gully. Chow Kee and others, 'surrender, extended alluvial claim, 260 c. R. Gilkition, protection, 6 months to special dredging claim 295 c. J. Bourke, same,. 6 months to special dredging claim, 264 c.
WARDEVS COURT, ALEXANDRA. Following is the list of business set down for hearing in the Warden's Court, Alexandra, on Feb. 9sh : Alexandra Coal Mining C0.,-coal lease, 61a lr 3p, at Alexandra. F. W. Gray, special dredging claim, 30 acres, Molyneax River, near Gorge Greek. Same, special dredging claim, 20a lr37p, sections 57, block 2, and 19, block 3, Oairnhill. Coronation Gold Dredging Co, 95 acres, Galloway Flat. James Brown, water race, from Stockyard Gully, Galloway. Same, residence site, Graveyard Gully, Galloway. J. Norton, residence site, 1 mile from Alexandra, in Mauherikia Valley. Henry Scott, water race, 6 heads from Manuherikia. A. Williamson, special claim of 100 acres on Manuherikia river. G. Hunt, residence site of \ acre in Borough of Alexandra. .
