COMMERCIAL
GRAIN AND PRODUCE
RECORD PRICE FOR COCKSFOOT A brisk week is reported on the local grain, seed and produce market. Most areas of wheat have now been headed and millers are still keen buyers of all lines. The market for oats remains quiet, very little interest being taken in this commodity in the meantime. The market for lupins still remains quiet and merchants are displaying, no anxiety to purchase at present prices.
Linseed crops are now being headed, and variable yields are reported. Owing to the lack of export orders, the market for ryegrass is a shade quietei’.
