TRAIN DERAILED

TROOPS FIGHT TERRORISTS (Rec. 10.0) SINGAPORE, March 1. Terrorists derailed a passenger train on a branch line running from Gemas, in Negri Sembilan State to Triang Bi Pihang to-day. As the train toppled over, the terrorists on both sides of the track opened fire, but were engaged by Gurkhas and police aboard the train, the battle lasting 40 minutes. One bandit was killed and two others wounded. One Gurkha soldier died of wounds. Two of the train crew and one passenger were injured.
