AIR ROUTE TO AUSTRALIA
CHANGES SAID TO HAVE BEEN PLANNED
LONDON, Feb. 28
Sir Miles Thomas, chairman of the British Overseas Airways Corporation; said last night that the Prime Ministers and Air Ministers of New Zealand and Australia had made secret plans with him for the rerouting of Britain’s airliners should war start in Southeast Asia.
Sir Miles Thomas said that the air link between Britain and Australia must he kept open. He added that the international situation was much more tense than people realised. - - .
