STRENGTH EXCESSIVE FOR DEFENCE . * l STOCKHOLM, Feb. 27. The expansion of the Soviet Baltic Fleet far exceeded normal defensive requirements, said the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Swedish Navy (Vice-Admiral Heig Stromback) today. He said that the fleets of the Eastern bloc: in the Baltic comprised one battleship, 10 small destroyers, 100 motor torpedo-boats, 100 submarines, 200 minesweepers, and GOO to 800 naval aeroplanes. To them might he added a large construction programme within all categories of ships.
