Mr Holt said he believed Australia was on the threshold of a great era of industrial expansion and prosperity. Dusting of the lungs must and would be eliminated, regai'dless of cost or energy.
Twelve countries Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, France, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, Britain, and the United States are represented by 31 delegates at the conference, which was convened by the International Labour Organisation. The conference is also attended by five experts on pneumoconiosis who were invited by the I. to participate. The conference will sit until March 11, when a general report will be issued.
