A radio message from the ship said there was one casualty of a crew member. The ship was proceeding to sea, and was due in Kobe on March 3. . The agents in Tokio believe that Nationalalist bombers delivered the attack. TWO U.S. SHIPS ATTACKED (Rec. 12.55) WASHINGTON, Feb. 27. Two American merchant ships were bombed and strafed to-day at Tsingtao—the United States Line’s Pioneer Dale and the Isbrandtsen Lnne’s Flying Clipper. The latter was attacked while anchored at Tsing-tao. It is not known whether the ship was damaged. The damage to the Pioneer Dale was trifling.
