OVERCAST AND WARM Though the sky. was lightly overcast, and there was a light north-west wind, to-day in Ashburton was again very warm. Figures supplied by the weather office at the Domain for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day read: Maximum temperature 92.6, minimum 60.8, earth 62.8, barometer 29.68. Hours of bright sunshine totalled 10.5. The maximum temperature was the highest recorded since February 6 of last year, when the reading was 95.4, marking the hottest day for 28 years.
