MATCH WITH OPAWA The annual fixture between the Ashburton and Opawa Club was played on the Ashburton green. The morning friendly game resulted in a win for Ashburton by 24 points. The afternoon game for the Vogel Cup resulted as follows (Ashburton skips first) : E. Dellow 29, D. Fraser 13; A. Pryde 32, F. Garland 22; A. P. Warriner 27, F. Larcombe 21; C. Gowans 21, A. Smale 22; A. Argyle 16, R. Alexander 29; W. H. Amos 25, R. Allison 26; H. Lane 28,' H. H. Hey 24. Ashburton wen the cup by 21 points. Rakaia v. Hampstead In a friendly match played, at Hampstead, Rakaia defeated Hampstead by 105 to 98 . Following were the results, Rakaia names first: A. Pluck 26, N. Mclntosh 15; T. Gaylor 13, R. Taylor 2S; E. Kyle 25, B. Thompson 16; P. Pluck 23, J. Jackson 19; Mrs Tatterson 18, Mrs McCormick 20. . Hampstead Club B. Thompson won the champion singles (Bray Cup) of the Hampstead Club. The colts singles (Mathers Cup) was won by K. Stowell.
