TWO NEW BARONS

SHORTEST LIST ON RECORD (Rec. 10.50) LONDON, Feb. 26. ■ The dissolution honours list issued by His Majesty contains only two names—Sir Francis Campbell Ross Douglas, former Governor of Malta, and John James Lawson, former War Minister in the Labour Government, both of whom have been created Barons. Both baronies are awarded for political and public services. The list, which is probably the shortest on record, is a customary recommendation after the dissolution of Parliament.
