LIGHT NORTH-EASTERLY BREEZE A light refreshing north-easterly breeze made conditions pleasant in ■Ashburton to-day. Temperatures were warm and the sun shone brightly throughout the day. A shower of rain during the night registered only two pointy of rain. . Recordings at 9 o’clock this morning were;—Maximum temperature 68.1 degrees., minimum temperture 0.5 degrees, earth 58.6 degrees, barometer 29.94 degrees. The sun shone for 7.8 hours yesterday. OUTLOOK FAIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather: General situation; There is an anticyclone over New Zealand. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morrow is as follows: Light variable winds, easterlies predominating near the coast, north-west-erlies inland to-morrow. Weather, fair to fine except for morning fogs. Outlook: Fair. Quarter, March 27, 8.09 a.m. High tide on the County coast to morrow, 11.53 a.m. and 0.13 p.m.
