CROQUET
CLAIM TO BE MADE IN COURT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. A weekly wage rate of £ll 3s 4d for journeymen was sought by the New Zealand Carpenters and Joiners’. Union in conciliation council proceedings to-day for a New Zealand (except Otago and except Auckland 56 miles radius) award. _ The Conciliation Commissioner (Mr A B. Riggs) said the union sought to have its present journeymen’s wage of 3s lld an hour increased to 5s 7d and converted into a weekly rate of £ll 3s 4d. The dispute will go to the Court of Arbitration. _
