HORTICULTURAL CONFERENCES

CHRISTCHURCH FIXTURES (P.A.V NELSON, Feb. 23. The Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture and the New Zealand Institute' of Park Administration Will hold their 1951 conferences in Christchurch between February 20 and 24, which will coincide with Canterbury’s centennial horticultural week. This was announced at the annual conference of the Institute of Park Administration. The conference elected the following officers:—President, Mr. E. R. Neale, M.P. (Nelson); vice-president, Mr R. L. Mac Alister (Wellington): committee, Messrs M. J. Barnett (Christchurch), M. R. Skipworth (Dunedin), E. Hutt (Wellington), 1. A. McPherson (Auckland), W. Stapleton (Invercargill), A. W. Anderson (Timaru), C. W. Corner (Napier), and A. White (Lower Hutt); secretarytreasurer, Mr D. H. Leigh (Nelson).
