READY FOR SCREENING (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day: Fine-grain copies of the film of the Empire Games, prepared by the New Zealand National Film Unit, will leave next week by air > for England, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong and Singapore, it was announced today. When the unit undertook the job of filming the Games, doubts were expressed, in some quarters, whether the 9000-feet coverage could be completed until many weeks after the Games had finished. The unit, however, has kept to its schedule of the film being ready for world distribution 14 days after the end of the Games. Members of the unit have worked long hours to make this possible, The first New Zealand screenings will he on March 3.
