ASHBURTON S.P.C.A.

REPORTS AT MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Ashburton S.P.C.A., held on Monday even ing, received reports from the street day committee and the Inspector. Mrs H. Grahame, on behalf of the ladies’ street day committee, reported that arrangements for the effort were well in hand. Mr H. M. Campbell reported on the children’s pet parade to be held in conjunction with the day, and offered hospitality to Christchurch visitors expected in connection with the occasion.

The report of the inspector (Mr J. R. Reeves) showed that during the period since his last report IS cats, seven dogs and' two sheep had been destroyed, and investigations had been made into reported cases of the starving of sheep and cattle.
